St. Patrick's day

St. Patrick’s Day is for the memorization of the Irish patron Saint Patrick. Saint Patrick is a person who has contributed to Christianity a lot, and he’s essential to the Irish culture. He makes many people who did not believe  Christianity initially, start to learn Christianity. He wants to back to Ireland, and persuade all of his friends and families to be Christians. Also, his strong desire to spread this culture, the churches and schools he built touched people’s heart. People celebrate this festival in special ways, and they have different symbols for St. Patrick, such as Shamrocks, which represents the Holy Trinity, and the Leprechauns is also an important element.

In the United States, people have huge celebration for this festival every year. Especially in Chicago, they dye the river into the color of green, to represent the Irish patron saint. In New York, there will be thousands of people, wear in green, and walk on the street every year, to show their belief and the origin of their culture.

Unluckily, this kind of western culture doesn’t successfully spread to my country, China. Most of the people in China probably know nothing about this interesting Irish culture, and we do not celebrate it there.

My future

          I often think about my future, because everything I do now is to provide a better future for myself. I have two major events that I want to accomplish in the future.

         Firstly, I want to specialize in music composing. I started learning music instruments when I was in the kind garden. And from that time, I knew Music is my soul. I will be ecstatic and start moving when I hear music. Music is not only important to me, but important to everyone and  everything, for instance, a movie. The life on this world will be monotonous without music. Therefore, for my dream, I would like to have my own music studio and compose songs everyday.

        Secondly, I want to buy a house in Los Angles, near Santa Monica. I have been to many places on the world, but Santa Monica is the place that I love the best. There’s nothing to argue with its superlative scenery, and convenient geological location. It only takes five minutes to walk to the shopping area and restaurants.

         I really hope one day I can realize these dreams and I will try hard to make them come true.

In the past 100 years, a discovery that really influence my life is the software 'Wechat'.  Scientists discovered it five years ago, as they wanted to figure out something to provide convenience for people's life. As all of the Chinese know, 'Wechat' is today's most popular communication app in China, it provides us free 'FaceTime function', to let us chatting with our friends online, at any time we want, even my friends and I are in different countries. Also, you can post your photos everyday, to let others know how is your daily life looks like. Others may comment and repost your post if they want to. Moreover, the funniest thing about this app is, you can call for food delivery to your home. It fits with the trend of Chinese people's living habit, most of them are too busy at work, so they don't have time to cook by themselves. Then, 'Wechat' will be a tool for them to get food quickly and cheaply. That's the reason why there are so many people using it in China. Finally, you can use 'Wechat' to call for taxi, that is common in China, since the people that are living in China usually don't buy a car. In that case, taxi is the best transportation tool for them. 

So I really appreciate the discovery of 'Wechat', and I love it so much.

          Fall is my favorite season in a whole year. There are two things that I like about fall.

         Firstly, when it is fall, the scenery of the outside natural world is fantastic. The leaves are turning red or yellow, and gently swinging down from the tree trunk. They are dancing through the wind as always. The pile of leaves that fell on the ground, is creating a enormous natural blanket. I love the feeling so much when I am walking on those leaves, it makes me closer to the nature and make me love those nature things instead of laying on my bed and watching youtube videos.

         Also, fall is the season that most of the fruit finish growing, especially my favorite food apple. They looks extremely red in the fall, and they are also extremely sweet, which fit my favor. When fall comes, my mum will buy plenty of fruit for me to enjoy. Also, we make a lot of apple pies when it's fall. It is my favorite dessert as it contains the fruit that I like the best.

 So that is why I like fall so much and the above things are what I enjoy the most.

If cows gave root bear instead of milk. All of the people could drink milk rarely. When they got up in the morning, they would use root beer to mix with flakes instead of milk. That might be a weird taste I would not like to imagine. And there would be some aftertaste of root beer through the entire day. If someone drank soda in the morning, people would hiccough when they are working. Also, if cows didn't produce milk anymore, there will be lesser and lesser diary product such as my favorite, cheese and pudding. These food are essential for the healthy growth of a kid, as they can supply nutritions like calcium and various kinds of vitamins. In case of those vitamins could not be supplied by milk or other milk products, kids might be easily sick. For me, if cows gave root beer instead of milk, I will be crazy, since milk is the most important thing to me in my life. No milk, no happiness. I need to drink at least 4 cups of milk everyday, thus, I can't imagine how will the days without milk be. Milk is the origin of a lot of food and the heart of everybody. People will die if there was only root beer.

A habit that I like about myself is that I am a sports girl who does sports regularly. Every day after school at 5:30, the first thing for me to do is not laying on my bed and watch TV drama, but doing sports, like running around the whole campus. According to a recent research, scientists notice that when people are doing sports, their body will emit a certain type of nuerontransmitter called dopamine. It is the keep element for people to feel thrilled and excited. I believe that is the reason why I am kind of addicted to sports. Also, I like this special habit is because every time when I finished running, I can finish the homework much more efficiently, and focus more on the things I am doing. For instance, it normally takes me 5 minutes to figure out a math task. However, when I have done some sports before that, it only takes me far more less than 5 minute to figure out a task. Since I can focus well. Besides, doing sports will not only benefit you psychologically, but also physically, it is really good for your health. Running can improve your immunity and physical strength. 

So that's why I really appreciate that I can do sports so frequently and regularly.

The thing that I really want to talk about is a book about a  Philosophy question--The trolley problem, that I just finished reading.

It is a hundred years old ethic questions that many world-known philosopher can't even solve. To describe it simply, that is a trolley is driving in a high speed toward the fork of a track. One one track, there are five person tied up by the rope, they cannot move at all. On another side of the track, there is a single person walking on it and doesn't aware that the trolley is coming. If you are the drive of that trolley, you can have two options, to drive toward the five person that are tied together, to save that pedestrian,  or you can drive toward the single pedestrian to save 5 people. And these two options are related to two kinds of isms. The one is called the 'utilitarianism', and another is called the 'Kantism'. In case of utilitarianism, the driver is gonna save the five people that are tied together, and drive toward the single person, as he/she can save as more people as itself can. That is also the option that most people prefer. People's common mind are like, to save more people, to gain more benefits. However, is it fair for that pedestrian if the driver kill he /she?  While sometimes, it also depends on the gender of people, since in the period that the 'trolley problem happened, it is not an age for Feminism, the driver will probably choose to save the single person if the tied up people are mostly female. 

There are truly many factors that are gonna determine the result of this question. That is why this question has not been solved for hundred of years.
